This week, we have been drafting our mash up essays and doing peer reviews. In class, we discussed about how AI could be beneficial and dangerous at the same time. AI is harmful for self development and language diversity. It only utilize one type of English (standard English) and therefore threatens communication in other languages and dialects specifically. There should be a diversity in language expression because everyone has different backgrounds and the way that we speak comes from the environment we came from. We also learned how to effectively identify main points using “Color Codes”. A highlight of this week was that through the lab session, I discovered that the school has a digital library that provides scholarly sources for researches and that way, we can write essays using reliable sources. That is something that I will use in my other classes.
