Our topic for week 3, was digital literacy. Digital literacy are skills used to understand and utilize digital technology. Being digitally literate does not only involves the ability to simply know how to use digital technology but to also have the ability use critical thinking and to solve problems in order communicate digitally. Some importance of digital literacy are: job employment, education, global communication and to stay informed. Nowadays, being able to use digital technology is important because the society is based on the utilization of these tools. Everywhere we go, we encounter digital technology. Moreover, we talked how digital technology and how it affects our identity. Personally, digital literacy affects my identity because it influences the way I talk, the way I dress and interact with others. Furthermore, technology has some downsides. Some people feel dependent on it and it can be a danger for younger kids because they can see sensitive content that could affect them.
